How gender roles affect the game design process? Why is it important to consider gender representation? This workshop presents the current state of the games industry, analysing case studies, looking at how gender is represented in games. As creators, we are responsible for our own games, and we need to take into consideration how our creations have an impact on our world.

I ruoli di genere possono influenzare i processi di game design? Perché è importante considerare la rappresentazione di genere? Questo workshop offre una prospettiva sullo stato attuale dell’industria e analizza casi di studio con particolare attenzione a come il genere viene rappresentato nei giochi. In quanto autori e autrici abbiamo una responsabilità nel momento in cui creiamo un gioco e perciò è fondamentale considerare sempre gli effetti che i nostri artefatti possono avere sul nostro mondo.
